I am thankful
Working on my new Huawei Media
I was actually working on this music blog last Monday, but got distracted and then was ill for the rest of the week so didn’t manage it. Here it is a week late with maybe one other as a bonus
Rain obscured my vision as I edged my journey onward. It was only the occasional glimpses of blue sky and the hint of a rainbow that kept me on the road to my destination. I listened to the daily service as they, too, sought to understand and know how best to remember.
Today’s music offerings are reflections that could be used for sacred places.
As we all take on the responsibility of remembrance this week-end, I pray that we will all find a sacred place in which to reflect and in the unity of humanity create a sacred commitment to peace and forgiveness and draw us nearer to the heart of God
Carol Ann Duffy, poet laureate, suggests in her commissioned poem, The Wound of Time, that no lesson is learned.
Robert Frost is probably best known for his “road less travelled” poem. In the spirit of this week’s theme of Remembrance I am diverging and focusing on his lesser known war poems, including the enigma of the ‘lost poem’.
Remember, remember the 5th of November.
I guarantee you will be foot tapping, shoulder shrugging and stepping by the end.
